ABOUT

Ella Zakavi

I’m Ella, a UX designer with a rich background in law and photography. My journey into UX/UI design has been anything but traditional. I started with a bachelor’s degree in law, where I spent years exploring societal questions and honing my analytical skills which now fuel my empathy-driven approach to UX. Yet, I was always drawn to art, so I pursued this passion, immersing myself in the world of photography. Through this creative path, I found joy in storytelling, using my aesthetic sensibilities to create meaningful connections with people. Working in both Fine art and Commercial Photography taught me invaluable lessons about teamwork and achieving quality results efficiently.

I believe each of my career experiences has uniquely enriched my perspective, shaped my skills and guide me toward UX design. However, the true turning point in my journey toward design thinking came when I worked at Image Salon, where I joined a talented team dedicated to helping photographers streamline their post-production work. This experience sparked my fascination with problem-solving and user-centric solutions. Now, as a UX designer, I blend empathy, innovation, and creativity to build solutions that truly make a difference, creating experiences that are both functional and beautiful.

For me, having fun means spending hours walking the streets with my camera in hand, capturing street and documentary photography. There’s a unique power in capturing daily life as it happens—raw and unfiltered—and I find it mesmerizing.
